Specialising in Contemporary British Fine Art we have a strong commitment to promoting emerging and mid-career artists working within the Modern British Tradition whose emphasis on the narrative encourages the imagination and challenges the viewer’s perception.
It’s a real pleasure to be returning to this exhibition and I will be showing six oil paintings.
Private view 23 & 24 October 2018, continues until 27 October. Please contact the organiser for more information.
‘A beautiful exhibition of paintings, etchings, photographs, ceramics and sculpture – with a special focus on artists living and working in the North.
Art for Youth North enables both established and new artists to show their work and raises funds for the leading youth work charity, UK Youth. The exhibition has already raised nearly £230,000 for young people.
Prices range from £40 – £3000 and prints and unframed portfolio work are also available. Artists donate 33% of sales to the charity.
Mystery Pictures are on-sale. These are postcard-sized artworks priced at £40 each. The buyer will only know who the artist is after purchase.
‘For this new exhibition at the Old School Gallery, Rob Newton has produced a number of oil paintings, watercolours and monotypes.
The subjects of Rob’s paintings follow a tradition of British landscape painting. His technique is bold and fluid, using broad strokes to allow for a distinctive take on the beauty of the local countryside and seascapes. Rob’s wonderful use of colour captures the unique light and palette of Northumberland.’
